Latest News ! January 15th 2008: Andrea was scheduled to play her first round in Melbourne today but got injured and ended up not playing her 1st round match against Anna Chakvetadze...unfortunately. January 4th 2008: Sad news as Andrea lost her match today in the Medibank International, Qualification as she lost to J. Goerges 6-0, 5-7, 1-6. December 29th 2007: Andrea's tournament ended as she lost her opening match of the year, she lost to Timea Bacsinszky 6-3, 3-6, 7-5... December 29th 2007: Andrea was scheduled to play her 1st qualifying round in Gold Coast but her opponent retired, she will now face Timea Bacsinszky...! November 25th 2007: Andrea was in action but she was defeated by Maret Ani in the quarterfinals, a 6-3, 6-0 loss... November 23rd 2007: Andrea is playing a 100K event in France this week, she won her opening match 6-3, 6-1 against Belgium's Kirsten Flipkens... She then defeated Renata Voracova 6-7, 6-2, 7-5...next up is Maret Ani. October 26th 2007: Andrea was in action in a 100K event in Bratislava, she was however defeated by Tsvetana Pironkova 6-2, 6-3... October 8th 2007: Andrea saw her tournament end as she lost 6-0, 6-4 yesterday against Yaroslava Shvedova... October 6th 2007: Andrea was in action in the Kremlin Cup qualifying, she won her 1st round 7-5, 6-4 against Y. Kalabina and will now face Yaroslava Shvedova. September 22nd 2007: Andrea was in action qualifying in Luxembourg today but she lost 6-3, 6-3 to Kirsten Flipkens.... September 15th 2007: Andrea's tournament is over in Bordeaux, she lost to Tatjana Malek 6-2, 6-4:( September 14th 2007: Andrea continued her road in Bordeaux, she defeated Stephanie Foretz 6-4, 6-3, next up is Tatjana Malek... September 13th 2007: Andrea is back in action playing in a 100K event in France this week. She won her 1st match 6-1, 2-0 against Caroline Maes! Next up is Stephanie Foretz August 29th 2007: Unfortunately Andrea Petkovic suffered a 2 set loss in the US Open 2nd round, a 6-3, 6-3 loss. August 27th 2007: Great news for Andrea Petkovic as she won her 1st round at the US Open. She posted a 2 set win against A. Cohen, a 6-4, 6-1 win that now puts her up against Lucie Safarova July 30th 2007: Andrea was in action in Stockholm today but she was surprised 6-4, 6-2 by Emilie Loit in the 1st round... June 19th 2007: Unfortunately Andrea Petkovic suffered a 2 set loss in the Wimbledon qualifying 1st round, a 6-4, 6-4 loss. May 30th 2007: Unfortunately Andrea Petkovic suffered a 3 set loss in the Roland Garros 2nd round, a 6-0, 2-6, 3-6 loss. May 29th 2007: Great news for Andrea Petkovic as she won her 1st round at the Roland Garros. She posted a 3 set win against Jarmila Gajdosova, a 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 win that now puts her up against Marion Bartoli May 25th 2007: Andrea won her final qualifying round, she posted a 6-4, 6-2 win against Emma Laine! Very well done! May 24th 2007: Impressive again today, Andrea won her 2nd qualifying round, she defeated Asha Rolle 6-2, 6-3 and will now face Emma Laine! May 23rd 2007: Great win today by Andrea in the French Open qualifying first round, she took out Andrea Hlavackova 6-3, 6-2 and will now face Asha Rolle. May 9th 2007: Andrea's nice run came to an end as she was defeated by Shuai Peng, she lost 6-2, 7-5... May 8th 2007: Andrea was in action last weekend in the Berlin qualifying event. She started off with a very impressive 3 set win against Yaroslava Shvedova! Then on Sunday, another win as she took out M. Chakhnashvilli April 22nd 2007: Andrea was part of the German Fed Cup team that won 4-1 against Croatia this weekend:) She won her doubles match:) February 26th 2007: Andrea came up a bit short after all, she was defeated by Agnes Szavay 6-3, 6-2:( February 25th 2007: Andrea advanced to the 3rd qualifying round, she won against Anastassia Rodionnova 7-6, 2-6, 6-3, next up is Agnes Szavay. February 24th 2007: Andrea is now playing qualifying in Doha, she won her opening match against M. Gregoric 6-0, 3-0, she'll now face Anastassia Rodionnova. February 8th 2007: Andrea wa in action in a 25K event in Tipton, she was defeated by Maret Ani 6-1, 6-3 in the first round:( October 31st 2006: Andrea still made it to the main draw in Hasselt as a lucky loser but today she lost against Ana Ivanovic 6-3, 7-5! October 30th 2006: Unfortunately, Andrea was defeated in her final match, she lost 3-6, 6-4, 6-4 to Angelique Kerber:( October 29th 2006: Andrea continued her good work in Hasselt, she posted a 6-4, 6-3 win against Yulia Beygelzimer and will now face Angelique Kerber in the final qualifying round! October 29th 2006: Andrea is back in action playing in Hasselt, Belgium! She pulled off a huge win yesterday defeating Maria-Elena Camerin 4-6, 7-6, 7-5!!! October 2nd 2006: Andrea had received a wild card to qualifying in Stuttgart but lost 6-2, 6-4 to Sybille Bammer:( September 25th 2006: Andrea lost to Angelique Kerber in the quarterfinals 6-4, 1-7, 7-6...:( September 21st 2006: Andrea is in action in a 25K event in Madrid! She won her 1st round 6-3, 6-7, 6-1 against Verdiana Verardi and will now face Amanda Keen. August 15th 2006: Andrea was playing last week in Hepchingen in a 25K event. She won her first round 6-2, 6-1 against Katharina Brown but then lost 6-3, 6-3 to Dominika Nociarova.... May 8th 2006: Andrea suffered a 6-2, 6-4 loss against Elena Vesnina in the 2nd round of qualifying... May 6th 2006: Andrea is now playing in the Berlin qualifying tournament and today she posted a nice win against Katerina Bondarenko 1-6, 7-5, 6-1. She will now face Russian Elena Vesnina. November 5th 2005: Andrea qualified for 50K Joue-Les-Tours la few weeks ago, but lost her first round main draw match against Matea Mezek(no.213) 2-6 and 1-6. Then, she tried to qualify for another 50K in France (Saint Raphael) but lost in first round to no. 282 of the world Ana Vrljic from Croatia. October 2nd 2005: Andrea won a Wildcard for the Filderstadt Tournament in a hard Qualification but lost her opening match today :( September 28th 2005: "In the last months, Andrea won two 10.000$ ITF tournaments, Davos and Alphen A/D Rijn. She was in semis of 25k Darmstadt and in quarters of 25k Durmersheim, too. She is now ranked as no. 360 of the world." Wow! We nearly missed that one, but Andrea's second round appearance in November 21st 2004: Andrea was back in action last week playing a 50K event in Deauville, France. She qualified for the main draw, won her first round against Eva Birnerova but then lost against Kveta Peschke. September 19th 2004: I added more photos of Andrea in gallery #3 and #4:) September 13th 2004: Good news. The 10 points Andrea got last week lifted her up in the WTA-rankings to another career high ranking position of 400! September 9th 2004: Happy birthday Andrea!!! She turned 17 years old today!!!!:) Unfortunately, she lost her second round in France 5-7, 6-3, 6-3 against Pauline Parmentier. September 8th 2004: Whilst Andrea is playing a 75.000$ tournament in France and reached the second round there we updated her results section today. We did not make a mistake. Andrea really won 14 of her 15 matches in the first 6 months of 2004 and lost only 3 sets in three tournaments!!! July 10th 2004: Andrea lost 2-6, 7-5, 6-1 against #1 seed Elisa Tamaela in the quarterfinals today... July 8th 2004: Andrea keeps winning and winning and winning. The Tournament in Darmstadt has started and Andrea upset Martina Mueller,
who already won two 25000$ tournaments this year and who was Germanys July 6th 2004: Andreas winning streak is over. She lost to top seed Sandra Kloesel very unfortunately 6-7 and 4-6. This week she will play at Darmstadt, another 25.000$ Tournament. July 1st 2004: Andrea received a wild card for a 25K tournament in Stuttgart, Germany. In her first match, she will face #1 seed Sandra Kloesel. June 22nd 2004: Great news! Andrea won her second straight tournament!!!!!!! This time she played in Podgorica (Serbia) and again, she did not loose a single set! More details soon June 10th 2004: See the updated results of Andrea by opponents here. May 31st 2004: Andrea is back in the world ranking system again! She claims a career high position of 654 this week ;) May 20th 2004: ANDREA WON HER FIRST INTERNATIONAL WOMENS TITLE!!!!!!! She beat Kateryna Avdiyenko from the Ukraine in the final 6-3 and 6-4 ;) She won 7 matches to win that tournament and only lost one set in her opening match. May 15th 2004: What a tournament for Andrea! She beat Stefania Boffa from Switzerland in the Quarterfinal and won her semifinal match against Melanie South from Great Britain to reach her first ever ITF Final! ;) May 13th 2004: Great news!!! Andrea won against Mariana Muci from Venezuela 6-0 and 6-2 to proceed to the quarters May 12th 2004: See updated results of Andrea by tournaments, see them here. May 11th 2004: Fantastic result again! Andrea beat top-seed Gabriela Velasco-Andreu from Spain today 7-5 and 6-4! We will have to wait until thursday now for Andreas second round match. May 10th 2004: Andrea is playing a 10.000$ tournament in Turkey this week. At the qualifications she won vs. Ekatarina Skvortsova in three sets and vs. Jessie De Vries 6-3 and 6-0 to proceed to the main draw! Great Job, Andy ;) April 24th 2004: Andrea played the "Germany youth indoor championships" at Essen. She was fourth seed and reached the semifinal without loosing a set.
